    Notice from Prof David Reay, PIN Co-ordinator:

     

    The next meeting of the Process Intensification Network will be held in conjunction with Chemistry Innovation (see www.chemistryinnovation.co.uk) at The Heath, Runcorn, Cheshire on 9 September 2008.
     
    Full details will be sent out a few weeks in advance of the meeting, but I would be very pleased to hear from prospective speakers who would like to present at the event.  A title of the talk and the name/affiliation of the presenter will be sufficient at this stage - an early notice of your interest in presenting would be appreciated.
     
    The meeting will additionally involve site visits and workshops, and there is space for exhibitors - please contact me if you are attracted by this latter facility, so that we can gauge interest.
     
    Also: PIN/HEXAG NEWS: the next issue is currently being compiled for distribution in July. Please send me news items/member profiles/brief case studies etc. for inclusion in the Newsletter (preferably in Word format) by the end of June (email: DAReay@aol.com)..

2007

  • PIN 15: the 15th PIN meeting will be held at Cranfield University on Wednesday 21st November 2007. If you would like to give a 25-30 minute talk, please email the details to David Reay

  • New Communication: Prof Stankiewicz at Delft is conducting a survey of PI technology within Europe, and invites participation from PIN members [documents]

  • PIN 14 Presentations now available (as pdfs)

  • PIN 14: Thursday 26th April 2007, Grangemouth. Details now available. Click here for directions to INEOS. Note that there will be presentations the previous evening by Prof Colin Ramshaw and Dr Adam Harvey during a local IChemE meeting on PI . This will be free of charge. Details are included in the PIN14 document.

  • Abstract Submission Deadline: January 15th for  European Congress of Chemical Engineering (ECCE6), Copenhagen 16-21 September 2007, which this year has process intensification as one of its main themes.

  • The BHR Group is hosting a Process Intensification conference on the 27-29th September 2005, more information can be found here and here
  • The University of Newfoundland, Canada, is hosting a course on 'Constructal Design of Porous and Complex Flow Structures' between September 21st and 23rd. Additional information can be found here
  • Applications open for the Ilya Prigogine Thermodynamics Prize 2005, application deadline is Sept 1st, more information can be found here
